System Power Up

This process makes sure that the AIMSS is properly energized. Electrical and pneumatic power are turned on and distributed to the Simulator components. Safety circuits are tested and Master On condition is attained.

Step 1 - Turn on Main Power

Turn on the main power by turning the Control Panel's red breaker handle clockwise.

NOTE: Handle presents resistance at turn.

Step 2 - Distribute Machine Power

Turn the disconnect switches at the rear of the control panel clockwise to distribute machine power. (red arrow points up).

Step 3 - Turn on Main Air Valve

Turn on the main air by turning the valve counter-clockwise.

Step 4 - Energize Robot System

Energize the robot system by flipping the Switch up to the ON position.

Step 5 - Check System Status at HMI

Check the system status at the HMI. There's a 30 second wait for the system checks.

Step 6 - Set Master On Condition

Set the Master On condition by pushing and holding the Master On pushbutton until it goes green .

This clears the power faults and checks that the master on conditions are met.

Step 7 - Push E-Stop Pushbutton

Push the E-Stop pushbutton to drop the Master On condition.

This is done to test the Safety circuit.

Step 8 - Set Master On Condition

Set the Master On condition by pushing and holding the Master On pushbutton until it goes green .

This clears the power faults and checks that the master on conditions are met.

Step 9 - Open Access Cover to Unload Conveyor

Open the access cover to the unload conveyor. This drops the Master On condition.

This is done to test the Safety circuit.

Step 10 - Set Master On Condition

Set the Master On condition by pushing and holding the Master On pushbutton until it goes green .

This clears the power faults and checks that the master on conditions are met.

Step 11 - Display Manual Function Screen on HMI

Touch the Splash Screen at the HMI and then select the "Manual Operation" button on the screen when it appears.

This opens the Simulator operation display.

Step 12 - Select Manual Mode

Set the Auto / Man selector switch to the "MAN" position.

This places the machine in Manual Mode.

Step 13 - Clear Faults List

Clear the fault list by pressing the Fault Reset illuminated pushbutton.

NOTE: Transfer Not Referenced may still be present.

Step 14 - Select Servo Mode

Select the Servo mode by setting the Robot Enable/Bypass selector switch to Bypass.

This allows Servo operation.

Step 15 - Reference the Transfer Servo

Reference the transfer servo by pushing and holding the Xfer servo button until it turns green and displays Servo Xfer Ref'd.

This clears the Transfer Not Referenced fault.

Step 16 - Select Robot Mode

Set the robot mode by setting the Robot Enable/Bypass selector switch to Enable.

This allows robot operation.

Step 17 - Machine Ready

Prepare the machine for operation by setting the Auto Man selector switch to the desired position.

Step 18 - Operate Machine

Use the appropriate Operation process.
